How to Drive Your Husband Crazy

Posted by Laura Davis on January 31, 2011 at 5:04 PM
  1. Misplace your car keys.
  2. Search everywhere for them - purse, coat pocket, retrace your steps.
  3. Call husband to tell him you can't pick him up from work because you lost your keys.
  4. Husband says, "Look again! How could you lose them anyway? What am I supposed to do?"
  5. Search purse again. Dump everything out on table in Kelsey's.
  6. Call husband back to verify you don't have keys.
  7. Husband takes taxi to pick you up, using his keys to get into car.
  8. Husband silently stews all the way home.
  9. Arrive home.Take coat off when you get in the house - discover keys in pants pocket.
  10. Beg husband's forgiveness while trying not to laugh.

That was my day - how was yours?

My senior moments are coming frequently now. Jim got me back though. He said he needed to go back to the office to get his pager, because he forgot it with rushing out to get me. So, I started to get my coat on and said, "Sure, no problem. Let's go.' Then he says, "I actually lost it, I don't know where it is." I shake my head and say, "Uh, huh" and continue to get ready to go back outside. Again, he says, he doesn't know where his pager is. That's when I looked at him. It was hanging out of his shirt pocket.

He has definitely forgiven me, however he may be teasing me about this for a long time.

Hi Laura,

I did this once too, only I was at home when I misplaced the keys. I tried to remember everywhere I went after I came in the door but I could not find them. Later that evening, when we had used the other set of keys, I pulled open the silverware drawer to get a spoon and there they were. Why I had put the keys inside the drawer I will never know.
